Bark River Lions Club Adds TORC/MORR Sportsman Championship Points Fund

Bark River, MI (June 28, 2011) - For the second consecutive year in a row the organization behind Bark River
International Raceway, the Bark River Lions Club is contributing $2,500 to the end of the year championship points fund for the Sportsman racers of the Traxxas TORC Series presented by AMSOIL.

The 2011 TORC schedule has one stop at the Upper Michigan short-course facility and over one hundred-fifty
TORC competitors will be on hand during the three day event held August 12-14.

"Since we are hosting only one event on the TORC Series schedule this year, the area surrounding Bark River is
really going all out," remarked Lion Club member Gary Lantagne. "Participation from area and regional businesses has never been better. We look forward to a record turnout as our campground sales are way ahead of other years. The Sportsman racer is important to our event because they travel to the races in large groups. Their families and friends not only come out to watch them race, but many are there helping out in the pit area. Contributing to MORR Sportsman Points Fund is just our way of saying thanks for supporting our event."

The Boss Snow Plow Island Resort & Casino UP Off-Road 100 begins on Friday, August 12 with afternoon
practice sessions, with racing all day Saturday and Sunday, along with live music on the "Hill" Friday and Saturday night.
