March 16, 2011 – MORR Board Meeting Notes

“88 Miles for Heaven on Dirt” Update – April 9, 2011
Breakfast
Kip & Donna’s Fly Away will be serving breakfast for early arrivals beginning @8AM.
Car & Truck Show
There will Car & Truck Show everyone is welcome to enter. There is no entry fee. Awards for the various classes will be voted upon by all in attendance. The car show will be run by a local car club.
Advertising
Posters are made up and are being distributed throughout the Fox Valley and beyond. A pdf version of the poster is available online for interested parties to copy, print, and distribute as well. www.midwest-offroadracing.com/morrswap2001.pdf
The Board approved of newspaper ads promoting the event will be placed in the newspapers covering Crandon & Oconto County, and the towns of Howard/Suamico.
Guest Speakers
 As of 3/16/2010 the speaker list includes, Aaron Zentgraf from Safety Solutions, Kris  van Gilder from ISP Seats, Jeff  Lenz from Attitude Performance,  and Mike Reusche from MT Graphics. There are a couple others that have not yet confirmed. Tentatively Guest Speakers will begin @ 1pm.
MORR Annual General Meeting
3pm - Will discuss latest happenings with MORR and TORC. The floor will be opened up for questions at the end of the meeting.
Display Booth fees- Outdoor - $25
 Indoor - $40.
All 2011 Contingency Donors  - NO CHARGE.
General Public Entrance Fee
MORR Members: $3
Non-MORR Members: $5
 
MORR Test Day @ Crandon – Friday, May 7, 2011
Test day is open to all MORR member Sportsman racers. In 2011, PRO-Light will not be included.  Participants can arrive Friday evening and camp overnight. Please remember to patronize the local Crandon area businesses. Please remember to bring food to accommodate your team.
Fee:       $50, if registered and paid by May 2, 2011.
                 $75, after May 2, 2011.
MORR Membership: $40

 

Super Truck, Classix, and Formula 4x4 classes were discussed among those in attendance and further discussion on the issues brought to the Board will be discussed at the General Meeting. It is imperative that a strong contingent from these classes, including the class rep, come to the Abrams Swap/General Meeting to clarify these issues.
 
Track Photographer
MORR continues to work on a solution for the need of a photographer to meet the needs of MORR and its racers. 

 

MORR Contingency Program
Board approved all race competitors must register and be verified every race weekend. The Top 5 finishers in each class after each round of racing will also be verified as well.
